The Best Place in San Rafael's Ridges: Meland Farm Resort

 

Meland resort started last 2011 when the family planned to put up a family swimming pool. At some point, the people within the vicinity discovered it so they decided to start with only 1 swimming pool with 20 pesos entrance fee. As time goes by, the family came to realize that they can make it as their permanent business so they added another pool in the year 2014 and officially opened it for the public. 

'MELAND' came from their parents name Melchie and Antonio Delumpa. They have 4 children, the two manages the resort while the other 2 stayed in Mindanao. 

Meland Farm Resort is a good place to visit with your family and friends especially when you have your special occasions and holidays, you can enjoy while communing with nature. Amidst of this pandemic they still can manage their business while following the safety measures given by the authorities. 

Meland Farm resort, a privately-owned farm in Sitio, Layog Bato San Andres ,San Rafael, Iloilo, where you can relax and have bonding with your families and friends. If you are a nature lover you will loved the view and the ambiance of the place.

 

The farm resort has 5 hectares all in all but only 2 hectares occupied of the resort and still on going for improvements. This resort has Davao pomelo plantation, when it bear fruits they sell it. And it is surrounded by flowers that enhances the place. 

They operate from 7 in the morning and closed at 5 in the afternoon. You can take pictures during sunset which millennials loved to do and you can feel the sun touches your skin. As you enter you will pay for the entrance fee that cost 50 pesos for adult and 30 pesos for children. They can accommodate up to 1000 people per day during weekends and peak season. 

Swimming Pools

Meland farm resort has best service to offer to their guest, they make sure that everyone will enjoy with their 3 swimming pools. 2  kiddie pool at 2-3 feet deep and for adult is 6 feet.  

Cottages

For their cottages, there are 3 types of cottages: the nipa hut the price is 300, the ordinary cottage is 200 and cottage made of rubber is 100. They did not accept overnight stay. If you have events they also have function hall that cost 1,500 pesos, and they offer package deal if you have an occasions like their Pavillion which include function hall plus one of their swimming pool reserve for you.

From Iloilo City to San Rafael: Northern part of Iloilo

From Iloilo City you will ride a jeepney going to Tagbak Terminal, then look for the van going to San Rafael you will take 1 hour and 45 minutes before you arrived. When you arrived at San Rafael, look for the motor cycle who can ride you going to Meland Farm Resort and it will take only 5 minutes.

And there you go you can enjoy your stay and witness the amazing view of Meland Farm Resort. 

Another way is From Iloilo City to Passi City

From Iloilo City you will ride a jeepney going to Ceres Terminal, then look for the bus going to Passi City you can ride any of these bus like Passi, Calinog, Roxas and Kalibo bus. From Iloilo City to Passi City you will take 45 minutes to 1 hour. When you arrived at terminal of Passi City, you will ride a tricycle going to Meland Farm Resort and it take 45 minutes.
